Apollo® Magna solid surface worktops are stain, water and impact resistant and offer seamless joints with the added benefit that any offending marks and scratches can be simply '�polished out'. Solid 6mm, homogeneous & non-porous Apollo® Magna will give you a worksurface that looks and feels like a 12mm solid surface material. Magna has an acrylic polyester resin pigment base on a chipboard core, with a 1mm paper balancer to the underside. Apollo® Magna Coffee is manufactured from mineral filled polyacrylate/polyester resins. Apollo® solid surface has proved itself to be a remarkably durable material; it cannot delaminate and stands up well to daily wear and tear. Apollo® Magna Coffee is dark, heavily pigmented colour which will show scratches, dust and ordinary wear and tear more readily than light or textured colours worktop and ideal for low traffic areas. General Specifications: Cleaning: All spills should be cleaned up immediately, as it is always easier to wipe up a spill than to have to deal with a dried-on stain. For daily cleaning we recommend a solution of warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid. Soak a cloth in the solution, wring out until almost dry and wipe the down the worksurface. If your worksurface has an integrated sink, clean this in the same way as the worksurface. Heat: Do not pour boiling hot water directly into solid surface sinks, and where constant boiling hot water taps are fitted, please ensure they are not left running directly into solid surface sinks. Hot pans should never be placed directly on any worktop and always be placed on pan rests, platters or something similar. Ensure that pans used on gas hobs are of correct size. Heat producing appliances that sit beneath the worktop, must have an aluminium foil membrane placed on underside of worktop. Staining: While most tough stains can be buffed away, a level of care and maintenance is required, as spills hould be cleaned up immediately. To remove more persistent stains from the worksurface or integrated sink use the Abrasive Pads. Scratches: Apollo® Magna is scratch resistant but not scratch proof; the use of chopping boards and/or pastrymates is recommended. Dark, heavily pigmented colours will show scratches, dust and ordinary wear and tear more readily than light or textured colours. Care should be taken not to slide rough based items over the surface. Thermal Expansion: Due to thermal expansion Apollo® Magna can expand up to 1mm per metre. A gap of at least 3mm should be left at each end of the worktop when fitted and filled with decorators caulk. When Apollo® Magna is joined to other materials (such as glass, steel or wood) an elastic type of adhesive, for example polyurethane is required for expansion. This is also required under terms of the product warranty. Tolerence in Apollo® Magna is ±2mm. Repairable: Apollo® Magna can easily be repaired. Using an ordinary abrasive cleaner and a scouring pad, the surface may be fully restored to its original appearance. Hygienic: Apollo® Magna is a non-porous material and is naturally resistant to mould, bacteria and mildew.
