It can often be difficult to know where to begin when trying to add a personal statement to your interior design. We’re often afraid that we’ll go too bold and hate what we’ve chosen, or we’ll have played it too safe and wish we’d been more bold with our design choices. This is often the case with home bars. They’re a small addition to any home, but they can add a big statement when done correctly. This is why we’ve come up with a few ways you can personalise your home bar:
Make a Statement
If you want to make a statement that’s not too in your face, try opting to make a statement in a more subtle way. For instance, when it comes to your bar seating, why not go for a patterned statement chair amongst your matching set? By doing this, you can make a bold, personal statement without it being too flamboyant. You can use a set of our upholstered bar stools, take our deluxe snella white bar stool, for example, you can easily throw a statement chair amongst them by simply reupholstering one of the stools.
Colour
Sometimes it can be hard to decide on one colour that you want to use but, what if we told you that having four different coloured bar stools is actually trendy? Our pod bar stools are great for this, as they are available in an array of different colours: pink, yellow, red, green, purple and many more! Doing this will allow you to accentuate the different colours in your room and make them pop without your design being too overbearing.
Mix & Match
Alternatively, you could try keeping to the same colour and bring in different shapes, materials, and finishes of bar stools. This is such an easy way to make your home bar more personal and full of character. For example, you could pair our black deluxe snella bar stools with our black sorrento leather bar stool. The unique shapes of both of these stools perfectly bounce off each other, adding a unique look to your home bar!
You can also opt for using the same design but different upholstery. This is great for adding an understated, but still personal look by using different chairs from the same collection. It allows for added texture to your home bar, with fabrics providing a cosy, homely feel, whilst leather materials will add a cooler, more contemporary look.
Swap
Over the past few years benches have become an alternative way of providing seating in people’s homes, whilst still keeping in touch with interior design. With that being said, a simple way to personalise your home bar is by swapping your normal seating with a bench. If anything this could add more room for people to sit at your bar!
